I remember Shaun coming back for a race and he rode a Specialized hardtail which he painted black due to no longer being sponsored. Wore jeans and a t-shirt for a race.

Am I right? Does anyone have the full story?

Any pics of the bike? Can remember a black specialized with XTR v-brakes, cranks, MRP etc.

I remember Palmer "coming back" at Sea otter in 2003, rode a black intense tazer (full sus) though, in Jeans and a t-shirt.

Palmer came to the UK and rode a painted black Spesh hardtail in jeans and I think a slayer T shirt at the Swatch Biker-X race in Plymouth.. is that the one you're thinking of?.. maybe around 2000 - it's on one of the old Earthed/Sprung videos.

No, it was the Plymouth Biker X in 2000.

He also "came back" to Sea Otter since '03. It was in 2005 on a hardtail. Just didn't get any rep points for it.
