Freshii has launched "Percy," a virtual cashier who takes a customer's order and payment -- a change that Ontario politicians say is a move in the wrong direction.

This is a strange concept.

Freshii has adopted this new virtual technology in hopes of "assisting [its] partners in managing costs and protecting profitability" and has spoken of other upcoming "labour optimization programs in development" in a recent corporate filing.

And from what I've seen, around here we haven't seen the same labour shortages that other cities have experienced..
