this thread has only two real options:

1) Bugatti Veyron
2) Mercury Marauder

or, if pressed for a third,

3) teh SRT-4 +/- vin diesel.

there is no substitute.

Joker, there is no $70k car that stands out from the crowd. Of your list of options the Aston Martin is the clear winner, but he probably won't find one (that he'll want) in his budget. I'm sure he can find a 996 or 997 in his price range, but frankly they aren't really exclusive.

If it were me and I was pulling in $300k, waiting a while saving some cash and buying what I wanted would be a no brainer. There will still be newly-broke "ballers" trying to unload their sports cars in the Spring and having $100k to spend sure opens up the options.

An Aston Martin or R8 are sex on wheels, and would be at the top of my list.

A new Audi S4 or BMW 335i Coupe would be titties and he'd have some cash left over for bumping power to the moon and improving the suspension.

Since this thread was never practical, Ultima GTR. If he can deal with the stripped down nature of a lotus then he should get this. It is a kit car, but you can buy them built from the factory 60-80k with engine choices ranging from a 383ci chevy to a 750hp LS7. If he wants fast, this will be faster than his sport bikes.

The GTR750 lapped the Top Gear track in 1:12.8, for comparison the Enzo did it in 1:19.0 and the Lotus Exige S in 1:25.1.
0-60 w/the LS7 750 HP engine 2.6 sec
0-100-0 9.4sec
230mph top speed or 250 with a higher gear ring from the factory.
1.18 lateral G's on the skidpad (E92 M3 0.98, enzo 1.01, Exige S 1.08)

The next gen RS4 is going to be really nice but will be close to the 70k limit. Its hard to beat the practicality of 5 seats and all wheel drive though. I'm not sure why some people are disgaurding it considering some of the others that have been mentioned

I threw it out, because the guy buying the car (my friend) threw it out.

a RS5 would be a better choice since itll more than likely have a TT V8

if he's a legit lawyer, he needs a new car. He also needs a car that isn't a boytoy, like a ferrari or whatever.

He needs a Beemer, mercedes, audi, or caddy. Maybe an infiniti or lexus. He needs a nice car to have fun with, not a fun car that's nice.

Otherwise he should buy a toy and a logical car.
