hey kornphlake, thanks for the ideas. I walked down to the police station and asked if they had any of the impounded bikes up for sale, they did and i got my little hands on a 2001 Marin Rock Springs, its got 27 speeds, ROCK SHOX SID XC rear air shock, ROCK SHOX Judy XC fork, Ovation 6061 Alloy Double Butted bars, Shimano Deore Rapid Fire Shifters and Derailluers, Sun Rims Rhyno Lites, and Shimano Deore XC hubs. Its got Tektro friction brakes on it "v-brakes" i need to find someone who has a spare pair of normal disk brakes, those will work fine, so if theres any chance, i don't have much to offer if your selling, so thanks for reading "yes i know im a stupid ass useless freeloader but if you rode with me you would understand my problems" and i picked up the bike for 30 bucks clean and clear, didn't have any probs, Thanks again KornPhlake...
