Hello? Where have you been?
Welcome to the year better known as Y2K. :D

Check out "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barels". It is another Guy Ritchie movie & it kicks ass as well.

i tend to ignore brad pitt flicks... my bad
It seems like he excels in movies where he has a weirdass-messed-up role, like 12 Monkeys or Snatch or something. The more normal films are more forgettable ... Mr. and Mrs. Smith comes to mind.

This thread reminds me.....
When this movie first came out, I wanted to find out what kind of dog that was in the movie after watching it, so without thinking, I googled the word "Snatch." Got about 100 billion hits. :disgust1:
Didn't pull up any dogs but a whole lotta kitty.

Speaking of Pitt and movies that don't suck. I watched Babel this weekend. It was very different, but over all a good flick. I think Brad Pitt has developed a lot of range over the years.

i have that one coming next week off NetFlix
It is a good flick overall, but a bit on the strange side. It took some reflection between my wife and I to pull it all together. Parts of it didn't make a whole lot of sense until we were talking about it later.

Ha! yeah, very agressive soundtrack.:busted:

OT: Opie, You finish A game of thrones?
err, uhh, no. I couldn't get into it. Way too many "main" characters. I felt bounced around way too much in just the first 50 pages. It's not my style of reading. Sorry :monkey:

I had the same feeling starting off on that one, then I was sucked in and reading 200 pages a night.

Although I don't know the man, my impression is that he is kind of a flaky hollywood type, but I understand he is trying to do some humanitarian stuff, again I don't know him, but I think you can not overlook his movies. Several very entertaining flicks come to mind...

Seven
A River Runs Through It (a slight bit sappy but good none-the-less)
Legends of the Fall
Snatch
Fight Club

just to name a few good ones!

Man, you got to give it another chance. Once it gets rolling it's impossible to put down. Best series I've read in a long time.

Such a good series.

I love it when an author isn't afraid to kill off a main character, or three.
