hey there the BB is a coustom ecc that fits a 2 pice crank, im making some cups to fit 3 pice for some of my down hill and 24" haed tail will have some shots of the hard tail on the sitye soon cheers

your dead right the tube makes the frame a touch stiffer i found in the early proto types when i was giving the bike full stick there was a bit of opposed flex , the bigger bb larger tubes and HT gusset all together to make a solid ride (plus I like the look)
