inside joke i'm missing out on? trying to out-ugly each other? is neon faster? are they being ironic?
There was a team back in the 90s that had denim-colored shorts. Carrera I think? So f'ing ugly.some stonewashed looking shorts and flannel jerseys would be pretty funny, actually
road cyclists already get enough **** for the way they appear. i don't understand why it has to be taken over the top. maybe that's the point, but i doubt it.
White/black frames, white hoods, white saddle. All else black. Coming soon to my garage and the internet near you...No need for white parts, but white hoods, white frames, white saddles and white tires kick ass.
You should be saving up for one of those Z-series Di2s....holy bargain, batman. There was a team back in the 90s that had denim-colored shorts. Carrera I think? So f'ing ugly.

Don't forget the classy look of silver hubs and spokes.White/black frames, white hoods, white saddle. All else black. Coming soon to my garage and the internet near you...
would you mind putting it into words? I wear "casual wear" scotts on the road bike and mountain bike. i've never thought that I could use different sunglasses. If you ride, or do any sports really, with them on, you'll understand.
Been hit with bugs wearing Half Jackets. Have not with Radars. They are designed to keep sun and wind out.the colors are bad, but the design too. i understand they're sports glasses, but i'm wondering what makes them sports glasses. are they supposed to be aero?
ah, that makes sense. i have had a bug or two in the eye before.Been hit with bugs wearing Half Jackets. Have not with Radars. They are designed to keep sun and wind out.
Oh god. I loath white "contact" parts (hoods, saddles, bar tape). No need for white parts, but white hoods, white frames, white saddles and white tires kick ass.
being in my first year on the road bike, this is all pretty new to me. my outsider, newbie perspective is telling me that when you're with a bunch of other guys who are also wearing jerseys and spandex, you just need to let ego go. that being the case, let's turn it up a few notches passed being embarrassed all the way to all out ****ing ridiculousness.pro cyclists (or whoever dresses them) have little sense of what looks good, but have a pretty good sense of what is loud, and are quite content with the latter.
I know huh? What a deal! A good portion of the parts from that bike will make their way onto my bike next year, that much is true. You should be saving up for one of those Z-series Di2s....holy bargain, batman.
I guess the next thing will be the splatter paint jobs...
Transition is all over that one.
so is cannondale
i remember those kits!!! Carrera jeans team, Claudio Chiapucci!! i don't remember the year, maybe Lemond's last or next to last TdF but Claudio attacked at the feed zone and REALLY pissed off a lot of riders. There was a team back in the 90s that had denim-colored shorts. Carrera I think? So f'ing ugly.
I bought a pair of those NOS from some crazy little ski store last year in pink/yellow/green neon, but unfortunately they broke on meOh god. I loath white "contact" parts (hoods, saddles, bar tape).
It's probably my thing for beauty through functionality. White is not a functional color on contact parts.
WRT the crazy sunglasses, I've decided that, for the most part, pro cyclists (or whoever dresses them) have little sense of what looks good, but have a pretty good sense of what is loud, and are quite content with the latter.
edit: next year's hot item:
Jawbones arrived. At my desk anyway.Jawbones ordered.
Me?Why such a bulky pair of glasses?
cum shields, the bigger the better. Why such a bulky pair of glasses?
Given as how you (the road rider in general, not CBJ in particular) are most likely wearing some *very* garish petroleum-based clothing on an ostentatious bicycle, they fit in pretty well. And that all translate to some ugly glasses it that what you are trying to say
