Yeah I keep hearing about all these people building with shovels. My two front teeth work just fine for moving dirt thank you very much.

We just sharpened some of our tools again. Its so nice!

Just have to be careful now, its so easy to carve to much when fine tuning. Usually dull(new) shovels just slide over the dirt when shaving unless you put downward pressure on it. Now, you just angle the shovel and push forward. Cuts like butter =)

I just sharpened my johnson on an angle grinder.

my shovel tends to sharpen itself. no kiddin. It has been used to fill hundreds of wheelbarrels, had numerous dents from cutting roots, but he dents disappear after a while and it still cuts through the flesh of your finger if you slide over it.

Yeah, put a nice edge on our Mattock too. It's great for chopping roots.

unfortunatly, that edge would last 10 minutes with all the rocks in my back yard.

I don't think I've ever seen a rock in the dirt at our trails!
The catch is that the dirt is very sandy in places, and tends to crumble.
