This is one of the very few riding pics i have. I know it isn't a good picture, but it is special for me... It is from one my first times hitting that spot, which was built by me and some friends in our local course (it was a pain in the ass to build it because of the hardness of the ground, but it was worth it)
Probablly cause its a custom carbon 29er ?!?. Don't remember where I saw it but thats what it is.

in Quebec it is a rule that you must have all skin covered for DH races. basically you need long pant/jersey or pads that come all the way down.
i had none of the above and my socks were not tall enough to pull up so i made "shin guards" with a little help of my friends at E13 for my qualifier and final run
The UCI official at the start (who agreed the rule was ridiculous) was very amused by this
