    This carnage is pretty crazy but I'm guessing (based on the number of loose front wheels on the ground) that this could have been avoided if they were using QR15 wheels...

    They (UCI?) just changed the rules so you can't remove the lawyer tabs on your fork anymore on a race bike.

    It is not the QR that caused the crash. It is not like riders were doing 30mph then they hit the brakes and the wheel fell out.

    And I bet if they used a thru-axle, forks would snap.
