I’ve worked for the Washington Post since 2008 as an editorial cartoonist. I have had editorial feedback and productive conversations—and some differences—about cartoons I have submitted for publication, but in all that time I’ve never had a cartoon killed because of who or what I chose to aim my pen at. Of Course Bezos owning the paper had something to do with it but I think there might be more to the story than she's letting on. WP probably didn't want tp get sued by Disney. They have a history of ruthless litigation towards anyone who makes images of their characters without permission. A dude I went to Art School got threatened with a lawsuit if he didn't remove the piece from his show. If Disney will go after a student, then the mouse shows no mercy.
