Anyone been up to rat pac lately. Wondering what the trail conditions were, gate open/closed, and any new stuff. Thinking about this Friday.
Thanks

No offense intended at all.

You guys need to scroll back a few pages or the mod needs to put a FAQ up on Rat Pac. These same questions seem to pop up about every other week.

Rat Pac is fine. Just a little route finding about a quarter of the way down and it's up on Cle Elum Ridge about halfway between Roslyn and Cle Elum...

Enjoy! Before it gets too dusty...

The gate has been locked, the trail is in good shape-but you have to know where its at. There are some new stunts, mainly a teeter totter-jump and a long bridge. You can still shuttle, but it will add about 6 miles or so to your trip initially to park inside the gate. You just have to go up past the LDS Church in Cle Elum at the east end of town. Check back at some of the older messages for more info on how to find the trail through the new logging.

the trail is fun and fine....some work still needs to be done on parts, but overall its good.

there is a new gate at the bottom preventing anyone from getting to the usual parking area....sooooo we tried to get to the parking area a different way...by going up 3rd and through the vista development area...and there was a locked gate there too :)

soooo we parked at the bottom and rode the 3.5 miles up..no biggie....

the ratpac trailhead sign is no longer where it was so you cant use that as a marker anymore...but the dirt ribbon can't be missed :)

get there while its still cool out....what a fun rip!

i heard it was logged and gone?
The only part thats missing is about .5 miles of the sweet single track near the top, the rest of the trail is there. There are about five or six decent stunts on the trail including three that are new-rebuilt. Its not well marked for finding the trail after hitting the second new road, although there is an arrow scratched on the shoulder pointing the way down.
