Towing the party line.
Don't forget that Danika Patrick was pretty close to inking a Nascar deal as well. So now the rednecks have a mexican, a frenchy, a gonger kid and possibly next year a chick; all of whom can probably hand the good ole' boys their asses.

Oh god, I love NASCAR now. I am so going when it comes to Montreal.

did you guys see the toyota camery nascar?

everyone wants in the big money, can you blame them.

if i was ricky i would get a deal with a EVO rally and get in on the rally

scene, with RC and travis it could get so much bigger.

i'll be honest, i like nascar, i watch it every weekend...but at the same time i watch champ car, indy, gt, and f1 everytime it's on too...but nascar is definatly the most fun to watch...i'm actually pretty excited about these people making the move...they said that juan montoya is going from caviar to hotdogs...i'm just waiting for michael schumacher to announce that he's really not retiring and actually going to nascar

hahaha it's such a shame to watch someone show their ass on a topic they know SO MUCH about.

might wanna Google the name Montoya one more time JohnnyBoy.... :brow: :twitch:
Yeah I followed the sport from '88....Are you guys all crazy??? Villeneuve...as much as I hate to say it....is a has been. His comeback was lousy.

I don't see "World Champ" beside Montoya's name. He could talk a lot of smack, but didn't live up to the hype in the end.

I have a hard time believing it's only for the money. I'm not certain but I think F1 drivers do ok for themselves.

AND the world-wide appeal! you get to travel around the world.....not just below the Mason Dixon line.

junk villenuve had the worst attitude ive ever seen, i believe montoya could of been champ but he only had i good season in the mclaren. open wheel in europe is expensive , the driver has to pretty much pay for the right to ride in the car. especially in the formula 2 series and other junior ranks. go alonso the race in charlotte this weekend should be good, i stay at home and watch so i dont have to see that guy.... see above

Man, I borrowed my neighboors stock '92 Nissan Sentra last night. Who the hell needs F1, WRC or Nascar when you have $200 cars with bald tires?

Montoya is in NASCAR because after some promising seasons at BMW-Williams, he was signed to Mercedes-McLaren where he underperformed and was routinely beaten by his teammate when their cars weren't blowing up. That combined with his less than stellar attitude would have had him going into the 2007 season without a top tier ride so instead of signing with a 2nd/3rd tier team, he decided to head to NASCAR.

Villeneuve is another F1 has-been/reject. He was a former world champ, but since that he's done ZERO. He got signed to fat contract with BAR-Honda based on his prior pedigree and did nothing with it other than get beat by his teammates and complain. He then got shuffled off to 3rd tier Sauber, now BMW, and couldn't keep his seat.

I was under the impression that regardless of time in NASCAR, that Carmichael would be in semi-retirement this year anyway and only doing a select few races.

All that being said, I can't wait to see what they can do in NASCAR and I'll probably tune in to watch them.

haha nico in nascar, not a chance, nascar is the most boring thing ive ever seen, going around a track that many times is ridiculous, hairpins and jumps just make it way more exciting. Im glad nico is in rally and pastrana is just killing it in the WRC thats his future for sure. But **** mcrae when he flipped and almost beat travis damn that guy is good.

I LOVE watching RC ride, one of my favorite riders of all time. I hope he gets back and still rips it up with Bubba once in a while.

Nascar is the most fun to watch? I don't watch any car racing, but my friend who does mentioned that in F1, one guy gets ahead and the race is over. Moto GP there will be 20 lead changes by the top guys before the finish.

Ok, I am not much of a NASCAR fan. I just can’t get pass the whole lets drive around in a circle thing for $250K. Well I get the money part of it, but not the lets spin around and see who gets dizzy fist and wrecks hic car. I guess I just need to go to see a race live. I was not much of a F1 fan until Michelin sent me to the US F1 race 3 year in a row. Now Michelin is getting out of F1. Guess they are moving over to NASCAR now. I also thought Buba Stewart was going to race NASCAR too. I guess RC wanted to beat him to it and give Buba a better chance at winning the AMA title. I will defiantly have to watch it now and see how these guys do
