i plan on getting a full suspension bike for next season. ive only owned hard tails. would this be a good starter fully? what other bikes should i look at? im not sure on the price range yet.

The Giant Reigns are super cool bikes. You can set them up with a chain guide, and use them for 95% of all DH races, or throw a lighter set of wheels on, and go for a 50 mile trail ride. They're very versatile, agile, fairly light, and they look pretty cool. I would also look at Turner, Transition, Specialized, Trek, Intense (if it's in your budget) and Santa Cruz.
yeah reign's seem to be excellent all around bikes and the price seems to be pretty good also
