When powder coating a frame do you need to sand the paint down (or just mask it out)when installing the bearings back in the frame for the suspension? Or is there another method? any tips to get the bike back in running order (or make it easier) after a paint job would be helpful. Just want to make sure I do it correctly. thanks

that's not powdercoating...

icon... are you talking about pressing the bearings back into the frame AFTER its been powdercoated? also, once a frame is PC'd its not painted... its a baked on polymer coating that is much more durable than paint. But its also thicker, so if any of the PC material got onto the surfaces where the bearings press in you are going to have to sand it down for the bearing to fit back in properly.
