I 'm planning on replacing the bushings, dust/oil seals and o-rings
in my 04 Race.
Are the 04 boxxer bushings the same as the 05-09s other than sitting in different spots or are they different?
Also, while I have it apart are there any inexpensive part changes / kits out there to bump the performance just a little?

I would say the bushings are the same, but can't verify this. For performance upgrades I understand that you can buy a blackbox kit for 30bux from rockshox.
I also found if you have a 6" travel boxxer race from 03/04, you can convert it to be 7" just by switching parts around.
