I checked that location on google maps, that's right next to the start of Burnham Down. It would be cool walk out the front door and start your ride right there. But, it would suck to finish your rides by having to do Burnham Up or have to ride up the hill on Mountain Road.

Upper Penninsula, flat as fuck and under a thick blanket of snow 9 months out of the year. When there isn't snow there are just bugs.
I'm guessing you haven't been to the UP much. The Marquette area is far from "flat as fuck"
I lived up there when I was a little kid. I don't remember any mountains, few hills, some sand dunes.. I do remember plenty of snow.
I generally just stereotype all of Michigan as being flat.

Where did you grow up? To be fair, the eastern half of the UP is flat as fuck. Marquette and Northwest of there offer nice trails.
I guess if you're comparing it to Lower Michigan...perhaps. But still flat as fuck. 
I hear Marquette has pretty good riding... and Copper Harbor ain't far I don't think.
