I've had several SB/DMGs in my life with most of them passing way too soon/tragically. Having failed to help my friends, Ive learned to insulate myself from these types now but for some reason DmG is always on my mind. Maybe because I saw the signs and didn't act, or something else I can't yet identify.
Either way, RIP SB.
It's always around the corner. Still, sad to hear when it happens. Condolences.

Well that sucks - just saw the msg from his sister-in-law today. If you never met him in person, you probably didn't know the real man. He was a total asshat, but could talk his way out of pretty much anything.
I remember getting chased down by the Maricopa Sherriff office's tactical van one day because we rode through one of their jails. Cops jumped out with guns drawn and that drunken bastard had them laughing within 5min.
He definitely had a dark side, but if you were a friend he would always help ya out. Feel bad that I hadn't talked to him in months...

A few years ago I was down there for a pretty posh event and got him into the after after party at a very classy Frank Loyd wright house. He showed up in bike shorts, T shirt and flip flops. All of the U Haul execs were asking me, "Who is this guy?" I simply replied. "He is the life of your party" Shorty after the gals from the office brought in a huge rolling cart of booze he proceeded to be a make shift bartender/iPhone DJ and was over pouring everyone and within an hour the pool was full and the music was loud. (nobody planned on swimming that night or had the clothes for it) By the end of the night the execs offered him a very well paying graphic arts job to redo/makover the graphics campaign on the side of the uhaul trucks. He told them to phuck off because they were already trying to micro manage his bartending style, lol true story.
RiP duder...as they say, only the good die (relatively) young...and would that we all have such a group of friends who say good shit about us upon our passing.

Well, its a tough one. Its never easy to explain but simply will put it this way. Brian chose to go out his own way and there wasn't anything anyone could say or do about it. We will just leave it at that.
