Hmmm....yeah, I was looking at the quattro's, but they may be *slightly* out of my price range right now. Thanks Heidi!Heidi said:I use the CrankBrothers Quattro's and love them. They do have the small platform for stability.
McGRP01 said:I hear ya Mark. I do have a spare set of SPD's that I could throw on for now and use my MTB shoes, but I figured...new bike, new shoes. Might as well jump in with both feet right?
Yah, I got them when I was sponsored. I miss those times.McGRP01 said:Hmmm....yeah, I was looking at the quattro's, but they may be *slightly* out of my price range right now. Thanks Heidi!
Actually, I just found some online for $89. That would work! How is the platform? Any issue with "hot spots"? I plan on doing a few century rides a year so comfort is the priority for me.Heidi said:Yah, I got them when I was sponsored. I miss those times.
I never found the issue of hotspots to be from pedals, but from shoes. I haven't had ANY problem with those pedals and they have THOUSANDS of miles of riding on them.McGRP01 said:Actually, I just found some online for $89. That would work! How is the platform? Second the KeOs. The reds have 9 degrees of float. I think they're coming with the grey (4.5 degree) cleats now, but my knees prefer most float.rooftest said:I rock Look Keo Carbons with the red cleats (11 degrees of float, I think.) I love these pedals, and both of them weigh as much as one of my tires!
Solution is simple:Wumpus said:walking in road shoes =
If you mean like an SPD Yes !McGRP01 said:OK...this may be a dumb question....
Will these shoes take a 2-hole cleat (C.B. Quattro) ?
No, I mean like Crank Bros. Quattro.splat said:If you mean like an SPD Yes !

Will they take the std. 2-hole cleat that comes with the pedals, or do I have to order the 3-hole adaptors?Carbon Fetish said:Yes!
Quattro 2 hole Cleat
Quattro 3 hold Cleat
Your Specialized shoes will take the 2 hole cleats that come with the pedals. Remember, there are two allen head, pins that are screwed into the two hole plates. I think they are their to prevent the threads from getting messed up. Don't forget to remove those if you haven't do so already.McGRP01 said:Will they take the std. 2-hole cleat that comes with the pedals, or do I have to order the 3-hole adaptors?
