Hey, don't wory - the rock gardens are pretty gnarly but if you study the lines and try to find the smoothest one, you should be O.K.Seen some vids on Youtube showing Diablo's rock gardens. Now I'm scared!
Any tips to get through in one piece?
Just do what I do - take it slow and NEVER ride beyond your ability.SKC thanks for the link, it makes sense, we'll see how it works out this season. Line choice has always been my problem, and a little lack of confidence on the rocks, especially when turning in a rock garden.
Seanmankiw - I was thining of finding out where a good bar is and setting up shop there...
if they did it would probably be 18+ at a minimum.maybe mt creek will open the hex bar for us, i doubt it but that would be kick ass.
never been kicked outa hex b4 i doubt it will ever happen. No one trys kicking out a guy with a camera.
BMW has tried to kill me in the pastDiablo had some the rockiest sections i have ever ridden, there was one trail we rode the first time we were at the mountain it was right by the lift i think it was "slayer" first run and i was basically doing trials moves half way down it was raining like hell to.
BMW has some of the most fun rock lines i have ever ridden, there are a couple runs which are almost to much for my liking but the mountain has alot to offer. Man UP!
Wood scares me in the wet. I ride on the damp wood stuff the same way I ride on ice in the winter- go straight and fast and you'll probably be fine.Definitely run sticky race-compound tires when it rains - the rocks will have you sliding everywhere, and the wooden structures are like sheets of ice if you run anything less.
Black Bronco in the parking lot. Bring a chair!yeah knowledge on where we can get a good beer after a days riding would help.
ha yeah, too bad ur like 13.maybe mt creek will open the hex bar for us, i doubt it but that would be kick ass.
