The San Francisco Bay Area was the birthplace of mountain biking. With the closure of many trails throughout the Bay Area, San Francisco has the ability to create a unique facility in one of its park's green spaces.
Many cities have seen the need for more outdoor activities and have addressed them with a controlled, environmentally conscious bike park. New York's, Central Park, Seattle's Colonnade and Woodland Park jumps, Pleasanton's BMX Park, and Cupertino's Calabazas bike park to name a few.
