Shortest ride ever today.

We unblocked a loaner and then on the climb back up, one buddy said he was about to puke (too many beer last night, apparently :busted: ) and other buddy just got back to Vegas. So we all agreed to go straight to the cars....for beers.

Solid day though with buddies.

We stopped at the ski hill for nachos and some rando girl, who was obviously having a great day, walked up and said "hey you dudes want some beer?" Of course we said yeah, how can you say no? She went and got two $10 tall cans, dropped them off and then disappeared.:rofl:

Trying real hard to not order another bass I’ve been eyeing seeing as how I just bought one. And considering my playing ability and frequency.

How many gallon is your aquarium? You seem to have a lot of bass. Large or small mouth?

Went with kiddo to local fall mtb festival. She had fun.

Almost finished cleaning out my old bank barn. Holy raccoon shit.

The last two days has been interesting with State Farm. I got a call from Enterprise that my rental is about to run out. Wifey's car still isn't done and part of it is because they took extra time to approve the service. I'm now into the management spectrum with their claims team to get our rental term extended. This last manager finally paused and is "taking it for reassessment" when I asked "why is it that State Farm shops get instant approval, when I have to wait 3-5 days for every step? It's almost like even though I have the state required right to go to any shop I choose, I am defacto forced to go to one of your shops if I don't want to pay extra out of pocket. Do I understand that correctly?" So now I expect to hear from them Monday. Oh boy!

Saw Haley's new kart and they are spending extra time working on it. It looks really good and is in really good shape. It will be ready to go and at the track by next Saturday.

Also picked up the cadet kart and got it ready to sell.

SF keeps emailing, phoning and texting me to say I haven't paid the renewal on our camper van.

Given that I told them three weeks ago that progressive was $700 cheaper, they're going to be waiting a while.

My widdle go-kart wore me out today. Getting used to driving one of these again.

Met a father and son team that are big time (really big time) ”big track” (full-size car track) racers. Invited me to come race with them at Roebling in GA in a few weeks. I kind of shrugged it off but now…debating it….

In the cleavage of the Tetons
There are some great clones out there, having an actual centaur is cool, but overrated sonically, from what I hear.
For a great example of a Klon at work, check out the solos in Jason Isbell &The 400 Unit’s ‘Overseas’.
I would kill for that tone (and talent).
So quintessentially Strat.

It gets amazing at about 3:25, and again after the last chorus. Ridiculous.

Grab some headphones if you have some good ones.

(there are some even better live performances, but the sound on the studio version is just SO clean, airy, and perfect)

Also, Jimbo on the Bass is simply sublime.

Its probably more of a fascination with them than anything, my amp head does a really good job of making some really cool copies but its always seemingly a bit off to my ear in the long run. If I played more or for gigs I would probably snatch one up but since I hardly play anymore it is a fleeting chase

Just in..

A buddy was out gravel riding and stumbled on a naked person laying in the road. Some dude, barely alive - obviously dumped. What the fuck Yakima!
