A foot of snow coming tomorrow so I was planning on a high country ride to round out the season.
But sustained 20mph winds with 40mph gusts at both places I was considering say no to that plan. Need a plan C now...

Hannah decided that not only was last night a good night to crawl into our bed and wake me up, but it was also a good morning to come downstairs early so I can't study. It's too cold to finish painting Haley's desk drawer, so I can't finish building it either. Guess I get to work on household finances. Meh.

Cabin in the woods is nice. No zombies/mutant rednecks noted. Visited great (great?) Grandparents and uncles gravesites yesterday, that was kind of neat, I guess, in a weird sort of way. Hot springs later today.

made some really strong espresso in the camper this morning. Went outside to see what the weather was like, dew was dripping of the awning, clouds on the mountain, 48* out. went back into the camper to make scrambled eggs and bacon.

I have no idea where I am
So I haven’t had any time in the woods since backpacking in Grayson Highlands two weeks ago. Not going anywhere near the local spots on a weekend but Monday, yeah it’s on.

Also relieved and stoked that I did not have to wait 7-10 days for my negative Covid test.

Could be another backpacking trip in the works.

Welcome back to being a mountain biker.
There’s still hope for you yet

You being jk, not Phil.

I saw @Nick this morning! And then literally towed the eldest kid up Green Mountain via a TowWhee strap that worked quite well indeed.

well THAT was fun. We were the first ones down TWE by miles. Amazing weather, fast company. Only hit the ground once! SS, I was going to brag that i havent had a puncture on the stock EXO aggressor in 700 miles, but Porc destroyed it. Four Stan's dart plugs saved the day, though. DD's come on the new ride...
