Scott Gambler DH10 2010

Hi Guys,

Here's some pics of my new Scott Gambler DH10.

As there doesn't seem to be many images around I thought I'd post some up.

Just getting used to it, but so far I'm really enjoying it, especially compared to my Sunday.

FYI: I've changed a few parts from the stock build.

I love the way the bike seems to have been built to allow easy adjustment on everything! think its been really well thought out, everything is easy to adjust and get to. So good work there to the designers and engineers..

But, im not a fan of the stealth bomber looks, i have to say! But saying that its defo not the ugliest bike. I only hear good reports about them. You have done a good job in making it look clean and fast! :-D

That is the Scott 11 team replica bike/spec. The DH20 is very reasonably priced though. The frame is pretty expensive to produce due to all the forged parts, different length dropouts, headtubes and adjust ability. There are some new prototype frames/parts that the team is testing now and I will share shots of that as soon as possible.

Hey Contact,
It looks like the lower slider is spaced a bit too far out. I know I'm nitpicking, but you should be able to loosen the lower bolt, click it inward a bit and retighten it just until it stays in place (very light torque).

As is, there is enough of a gap to toss the chain off the lower roller under hard crosswise impacts under bottomout conditions (rocks in a berm anyone?)

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply Philip. I'll take a look at it. I was leaving it a little open intentionally as I wanted to ensure minimum drag.

I rode a Scott for two seasons. It's a top notch bike and hope to see more people riding them.

Watch your lower headtube adjustment clamp. Broke mine on the first ride. Im guessing it was overtightened by the person who put it together. I would follow the torque specs
