i'm pretty sure there were some taiwan-made low-end Marzo singlecrowns. Like the Z.5 and whatnot. Wouldn't surprise me if the low end stuff is still outsourced the same way.

Interesting! Good find. Ok, so we now know that the lowers aren't costing Fox a lot of money, so where's the ~$1600 MSRP coming from, other than greed?
Who said they were cheap? Just cause they are made by a Tainese casting house doesn't mean they're cheap.
I just got my Fox fork on Tuesday. Judging by all the nice machined parts versus the competitions cheap plastic parts, I think the fork is worth an extra $200-$300
