hi guys, due to my facebook adventure I've had to dig up some old pics of me and my old pals. Now, I've scanned some yellowed, grainy instamtics ( circa '77) and am at a loss for how to improve them. I know enough to scan at high resolution so I have something to work with, and I can do levels, brightness/contrast and a bit of color adjusting, but I am clueless beyond that.

I do have PS 8, but I'm a rank novice. Mostly I am wondering how to fix the graininess? I can post pic if you guys want, just a couple of hippie chicks from the way back machine. I'd much rather know how to do it myself, thanks.

It's weird that there are ways to make your new photos look like a circa '77 Instamatic shots, yet you want to do the opposite!

Leave it I say. It shows an era long gone.

I want to thank Arkayne for his best efforts. Word of wisdom for the rest of you that still get photos printed out. Aged "Satin" finish photo paper is TEH SUCK for PS photo repairs. The grain just becomes too dominant.
