can anybody tell me the basics of setting a baseline for shock setup? my biggest prob is finding a rebound setting that works both for high speed big hits that require slow rebound and slow speed climbing rock gardens ledges requires fast rebound? is my thinking correct here? big hit slow rebound small bump fast? trying to find a set up on my new nomad that i can ride xc trail and hit jumps/bomb descents with but got bucked the other day so that got my attention do i start slow and speed up or start fast and slow down?

The general wisdom (at least a few years ago...) was to start fast and slow down- basically to start as fast as possible and then dial it back until you don't feel it bucking or kicking back.

There's probably better ways to do it, but I don't think that's a bad way to go.
