Anybody remember these from the wayback machine? I had a red one on my Santa Cruz Super 8 waaaay back, late 90s I think.
Anyway, if I remember right, they were offered in 26" and 24", I'm desperately after a set of the 24" rims if anybody has some, or maybe knows where I might be able to dig them up.

If not, what are some other cool Wide 24" rims? I'm working on a beach cruiser project, and want something pretty sweet...

The classic Kawasaki green double wide.
I had a set of those in white 26" back in the day. I might actually try to match the blue on the bike already, so I guess color isn't a big deal.
I just really liked the looks of the Hed, just one simple radius curve.

Hey Dude
I might have my old Arrow DHXs up for sale soon. They aren't hyper wide or extremely pretty, but spray paint solves all.

let me know.

Otherwise I'd try to pick up some doublewides.

HED45s we're really cool, and even had a carbon profile for extra pesos....I would love a pair but they were never popular and are impossible to find now...not to mention not worth it over modern rims...

I had a front 45a on my DS bike when I first got into it, it's amazing how much it smoothed out the front end from the wheel I had on there before, just erased a lot of the high-frequency stuff. Then the rim was re-purposed onto my DH bike.

I see that Surly has some 65mm wide Large Marge 24" rims, those will probably be my fallback...

Well, it's for a beach cruiser, so it's not going to see a lot of abuse, and I do kind of want "pretty" since style is key. I'm gonna replace the stock 3spd setup with either a Shimano 8spd or the new SRAM 9spd internal hubs, I have some Dura Ace cranks for it, Easton pedals/post, etc. So it'll be pretty sweet.

Ire - how did I know you'd be replying to a thread I started? Hmm... :)
I don't need the whole wheelset, just the rims, and I guess they need to be 36-hole too, since that's what the cruiser rims are. I guess I'll rebuild the front with a cool hub, like an old Ringle or something cool, bolt-on skewer. This is going to be a fun project for sure...

jAMES ; I have (4) Hed (black) 36H $75.00 per. rim ... Sun DW is only 32MM inside (inside is what u meas. for tire profile & performance) not that wide,outside meas. means nothing... Arrow DHX = 31mm inside.
Also have rare Mavic BMX 24" XY,25mm(inside), strong build with 12mm offset spoke holes $24.00...<gus@arrowracing.com>
