Students may elect to pursue a Minor, BA Major, or BA Honours in Political Science. The department, in addition to its own major programmes participates in many inter-disciplinary majors such as Canadian Studies, Urban Studies, and Asian Studies. Many students of the department have chosen to combine their studies in political science with the teaching of the university's various specialized colleges such as the Schools of Community and Public Affairs, the Simone de Beauvoir Institute, the
Liberal Arts College and Lonergan College. Additionally, some department courses may be counted as credit towards the Interdisciplinary Clusters offered at Concordia University.
