Steel Surly 1x1 frame and fork
Surly 1x1 rear hub, LX F. hub
34x17 (2:1) gearing
Around 23#, wasn't necessarily built with weight in mind, but more with what I had laying around. I also tend to lean towards durability vs. weight as I like to ride my bike hard and not worry about stuff breaking. The Surly fork is pretty porky at 2.4#. Thinking about replacing it w/ a rigid disc so I can have at least one rim that isn't iced up during winter riding. A rigid disc fork that's lighter than what I'm running will be around $200 though and I haven't decided if I want to spend that.
I also have a fixed gear road bike. Old steel Fuji w/ a Solvos track hub, 42x17 gearing and MTB straight bars w/ bar ends. No idea what the weight is, but it's pretty heavy. No pic of that one yet.
I don't have a photo right now because my server is down (ask me how happy I am about that). Right now I've got my Bridgestone XO-1 set up as a SS. I'm using a set of Mavic hubs with a 16T freewheel and a 38T chainring. I hope to do a cross race or two this fall. We'll see. It's not super light, but that's OK with me, it's still fun.
There is a guy in town that has built up a Morati SS with the Morati fork and bar/stem, etc. It weighs 17 pounds. Not too shabby.

Ride this one mostly on the street and Hike & Bike -- hence the high gearing. Put the long fork and higher bars on to change the riding postion to more upright. Put the cranks on cuz the RaceFace were too flexy and scared me on climbs. Put the Headset on cuz the stock one was poop. Same for the saddle.
Love this bike. It is pretty fast and still light enough.

As set up, the bike jumps better than any other mountain bike I have used for BMX style jumps. I have had both 26" and 24" wheels on the rear, but for some reason the bike feels better with the 26". It was designed around a 24" wheel. I do ride it cross-country, but the gearing sucks, so I have to push a lot.
yep, unfortunately another birthday. dammit.
i wouldn't even mind except that these days it seems to hurt so much worse and for so much longer when i wreck!
on the bright side, i make more $$$$ and can buy more bike stuff ( at least til the Girlfriend moves out here from Atlanta) .
cheers,

2001 Schwinn Panther (too bad about Schwinn)
Standard Panther with the following changes:
Panther hubs relaced to Mavic 517 rims

Wiggly Hula Girl
Since that picture was taken, I've changed the gearing:
42T chainring (standard is 46T)
16T SunRace Stealth freewheel (standard is 18T Shimano)
Weight is 21.1 lbs. (21.4 with Hula girl)
The 42/16 gearing (68 gear inches) is perfect for quick street cruising. Hula girl likes to go fast.
