Congrats Todd! Though apparently this is old news, better belated then not at all.
This isn't old news- the vote was held Friday, and the USA Cycling site was updated today, so it's as fresh as can be!

While he's been on the NORBA Board of Trustees for two years now, this seat on the USA Cycling Board of Directors means a say in the overall direction of all of USA Cycling, not just NORBA/Mountain Biking...

What does NORBA even do anymore? I thought they were wholly absorbed / converted to USAC?
Think of USA Cycling as the parent holding corp, and NORBA as one of the companies in their portfolio along with the USCF, BMX, Track, etc.

Each discipline has their own Board of Trustees, and then each board elects reps to the big Board of Directors of USA Cycling.

USAC is phasing out the name NORBA, but for now, officially at least, it's still the NORBA Board of Trustees.

Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification!

Thanks guys. It'll be fun for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing what's under the hood and especially into seeing the ways in which the road side of stuff runs a lot of their business model and what has been fueling their growth and success over the past few years.

Over your shoulder whispering
Notes on Todd's clipboard at the next meeting:
1. Skinsuits - can we make them look cool?
2. Can the board name (first & last) any top 5 US Pro downhiller?
3. Pro Payout - Mandatory Purse placed in trust account 30 days prior to approval of venue
4. Gravity is a product with marketing value & thus should be sold as such.
5. Move Board meetings to Snowshoe
6. Re-introduce 1 day licenses in Expert/Semi-Pro (Cat 2-3) to get the sandbaggers who don't want to pay $60.00 for an annual license out of Cat 4-5 at local races. Meaning local races may only be split into set categories if paired down to 3 groups. Cat1/Cat 2&3 combined/Cat 4&5 or if only 2 classes Cat 1/ Cat 2-5. That way people show up for local events and will pay to race again like the old days.
