I have been looking for a bit now and I'm starting to run out of info. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a HT with a headangle slacker than 69 degrees with a 5" fork. I will be using it for heavy duty riding...everything from Dh, street to dirt jumping and I'm looking for something that doesn't weigh a stupid amount of weight.....D

any HT designed to run a 100mm fork would be slacker than 70* with a 5" fork fitted.

My Kona Chute is 68 degrees with a 2004 Z-1 Freeride. It is a 2001 frame that I found brand new never built 3 months ago. I built it up with Mavic 321's, Hope Bulb Hubs 36 hole, XT derailures front and rear, Shram Rocket grip shifters,Race Face Prodigy downhill crankset, Titec Ring Leader bars, and Thompson with Selle Italia Saddle. It weighs 38.3lbs. I dirtjump, trail ride, and do some Freeride with it.

Cove Stiffee SL, now known as the Foreplay MX? No geo #s listed on the site ( HERE ), but it looks slack, and I recall it being 68 or so with a long tt and short rear end. Ed: Chomps, I think, had an SL...might ask him what the numbers looked like.

Ed again: Look here: http://www.freerideadventuresjpn.com/deepcove/StiffeeSL.htm 69 HA, probably with a 4" fork spec'd

The Arrow is listed with a 69 HA with a 3.5" fork, too.

I recommended a le toy last time we rode, and you went into some philosophical reason why you didn't want one... :p

Chromo Blk Mrkt has 68 with 4" & weighs 4.5 lbs. & $600.

A custom chromo Revell can give you anything you want at $600 and 5.5 lbs.,

An alum Giant STP is 4.5 lbs. and 69 with 4".

yep, it was 69 with a 4 inch fork... not a slack bike.

I would recommend a minuteman, they are almost DH bike slack.

see I was all set on an Imperial but I thought with a 4" Shiver SC it would be too steep no?....D
whats the axle to crown height on a shiver SC?

For a normal 100mm fork, the Imperial is just about 69 degrees. For a normal 5 inch fork, the Imperial is 68 degrees. Zerostack reducers can make it 0.5 degrees steeper.

DOC is a small bit slacker

the stiffee sl used to have a super steep ha, like 72ºish. then they switched to 'rad' tubing and then they changed the name. hell i wonder if it's even T-6-2 anymore or just T6 'ed. My first inclination as far as slack ht bikes is the balfa MM.

Waitaminit, D, a Shiver SC? Wtf is the Z1 in your garage going to be on, then? You only have a HT and the DH bike, right?

I can tell you from recent experience that going from a ~66 h.a. to ~69 h.a. is not going to be a comfortable transition.

well right now with the Shiver SC I would say my HA is about 68...so shouldn't be too bad...it kicks arse at the BMX track....D
