I've had a 5th element on my super 8 for a few months now and I have a few concerns. As you can see in the photo the black zinc coating on the body is turning green. I know its happening to marz forks too i'm just wondering if its going to cause any problems. Also the coating on the shaft has what looks like a small nick in it where you can see through to the metal underneath (its hard to see in the picture but its there). comments? suggestions?

thanks

mine turned green too. It's still working fine after 2 repairs that were in no way related to the color of the shock. This way I can tell people that I have a shock that's got innards nobody else can get and that's why it's dark green instead of black. My Rhynolite XL rims have faded from black to bronze, they've morphed into special triple wall rims since the color is different.
