Meanwhile I am staying safe from the vicious snow by working today and tomorrow. Smart, eh?

did babbys first ever fork service on Friday and today
put fresh seals, wipers, a new air piston, put a lighter negative coil spring in.

opened up the damper, put in the only oil that was shipped with the rebuild kit (maxima 3wt) it felt a little heavier than the old oil that was in there, but we will see. Less darth vader noises coming from the rebound circuit which is nice :D :D

Pickled myself last night, been a while since I’ve been that loaded.
Sitting in sun reading, hungover as fuck, patiently waiting for my son to return with a carne asada burrito to make the bad feels stop.

Bought some used speakers today. Jamo Concert 8. Already have a good amp. Just need to fine tune the setup.

Really warm and sunny today. February has been real warm and looks like no more winter this year besides the two weeks we had.

20m/2350ft on the road this morning, tempted to go back out now on the hardtail but 25 freedums outside sounds like a lot of effort.

Rode bikes on snow today. Fun. Rode with a few of the lady friends bike group from the city; she told them I was "new", as in new to the club. They interpreted that as if today was my first mountain bike ride. Low expectations. :D

Also picked up a crank for my fat bike, that I paid for almost a year ago. Totally forgot about it at a shop... oops.

Pedals aren't mine. But they are pretty nice and affordable.

I worked on Bikes today. Chased and Faced a bottom bracket. Popped out and replaced some corroded bearings. Rebuilt a Fox fork with parts from another. Forgot how nerve wracking that kind of stuff is. Much success however. Fat Bikes and wide Q-Factors. Modern Bottom bracket systems were not made to address spans and do not seem to handle the churn and burn torque. I made a jig to braze a beloved fat bike frame. Wish me luck....

Wife wanted the kids to send it off the roof, but after a "torturous" 2 block xc ski down to the river, morale was toast...

Neighbors house hadn't been raked/shoveled yet this season so it is holding a good 9' (?)+ of standing compressed snow. Laborers said no where to put all the snow so wanted to double their ///fee ($500->$1K)
