if you had 2 mavic 729s with 32 holes, what hubs and spokes would you lace them up with? also what spoke pattern would you use? i ask because i made the mistake of getting these rims laced to flimsy cross country hubs and spokes, this would be all well and good, but i drop and jump so im lookin for some quality freeride hubs, can anyone suggest a strong combo?

hope pro 2's, high quality for the money, compared too hadley or king or I9. dt swiss 440 are also good.

spokes dt swiss either 14g or something double butted, if you're lightand smooth, alloy nipples, otherwise brass

and 3x pattern.

yep hope to what ever high grade 14 or 14 db spoke you want.

i personally like wheelsmith spoke. i have also used dt swiss spoke with good luck.

what size does the rear of your bike take????
I would go with a marzocchi front 20mm hub
And a syncros rear

too light does not inspire confidence.....tha hubshells may crack

i'd avoid double butted spokes
they're weaker, and really you're saving about 3 pieces of paper in weight..really not worth it imo

DB spokes build up stronger wheels. Straight spokes build up stiffer wheels.
