Yup!!
BTW, thanks for the, well, interesting reponses. I showed the Frau and she laughed herself silly! My biggest thing is that I want him to be who he is, not who some little b!tch at school or on the internet or wherever tells him he should be. And not who I want him to be, either. The whole "Be true to yourself" concept. And if he ends up like Marilyn Manson, and marries a hot stripper chick (ala Manson...) so be it.
But I don tthink he will go to the Moose Lodge with me in 25 years dressed like Marilyn Manson...

Thought about this some more today. I think the fact that your son asked about "going Goth" means something. Without knowing anything about you and your relationship to your son I would say that he loves and respects you quite a bit to get your take on being goth.
Reminds me when I asked my dad "What do you think about me getting an earring?" Please note this was circa 1987 when guys having earrings was not a regular thing. My dad's reply to which he denies to this day "Travis, if you get an earring don't bother visiting my grave." I love my Dad.
