Sighted the Rifle. Loaded shells. Put the stand in the Gator and dragged it to my spot. Saw 2 big boys. One on the way in and one by the road out. Lots of footprints near the neighbors Corn field. Turkeys are everywhere. Our apple tree fell over. Our pond overflowed and washed down all of rocks that armored the creek/spillway into the center of the spillway. May need to rethink it. Wrong time of the year for that. 6 weeks of work all gone. The berm I built held up fine. Not a drop of water in the road. Ditch's the town cleaned up are working well. I was stacking lumber on the Town property and the Town for some reason moved it up the hill to our cut. Very nice of them.

Clipped a hidden rotting sapling stump on an overgrown trail yesterday while traveling at a good clip. Some how managed to not crash but my elbows and wrists are very unhappy today
The forces required to get the bike back in control must have been impressive.

Hey Monkeys! 7 rides in 7 days...

Testing out new rubber, so far skinny Ikons are the clear winners. Having difficulty finding a sweet spot for the front Ground Control T7; I do not find it to be a fast roller. The T5 rear is predictable - it requires pedal effort similar to Minion SS but tends break on loose over hard pack climbs, particularly if you're pedal mashing lifts the front end. This caused me to stall more than once on short climbs I've never had trouble with before.

Long, but slow day. Somehow it's almost over, but don't feel like we accomplished getting anything we needed to get done, done. Hannah is sick, so she's kept us up the last few nights. Had a date night with Wifey last night, but dinner was a mess - messed up her order and when it showed up, the lobster was super overcooked and partially frozen [insert comedy of errors], and then a fly landed in her wine. They nicely comped most of dinner accordingly.

Got the last bike for sale finished and ready to sell, but we're not going to be home after Wednesday for me to sell it. So I get to sit on that for another 2 weeks. Had Haley try on her ski stuff and oh boy... Nothing important fits. Boots are 2 sizes too small, helmet doesn't fit, and skis barely come up to her neck now. So... Off to spend money again. Fucking kids.

Son of a B am I sore. Tide was out in the Delta so the put in was a bitch. had to portage over rip rap. The we paddled a mile through heavy concentrations of aquatic plants against an incoming tide to reach open channels to fish. I caught 2 striped bass and my fishing buddy caught one. Keeper size is 18" and ours were a few inches short of that but they fought great. 4 hours on the water and we covered 5 miles. Awesome day. Now its Ibuprofen time as my shoulders are shot

What size skis does Haley need this season, @stoney ? I think Mariko will stick to her 108s so you can use the 120s I have around.

She's coming off her 115's and going up to 130-140's (still deciding proper size). We have a whole bunch of boots, in a range of sizes, if you need them.

How does your buddy like his pontoons? I think I have the same kayak - I don't have good balance while casting in rivers unless they are real slow.

Actually that's me. They add stability but they also add drag while underway and if using your paddle you have to modify your paddle stroke
Got it. I generally use the pedal drive when fishing, I use a 150 paddle for recreation and to keep my skills up. I like to fish standing up so I will probably add those to the kit next year. Or improve my balance, either way...
