:D

I went for it.........I now have the Avalanche Woodie on the Canfield Jedi and the Knolly DT. Holy Suspension! :thumb: This shock is amazing and has transformed both bikes. The Jedi now rips up everything in it's path and the DT is in perrrrrrrrfect sync with the 66 Ti up front. Two great bikes made better by way of Avalanche Suspension. :weee:

could you give us a few words on your experiences with Avy?
I'm very interested in how the process works from purchase to finalising shock specs.
My first reccomendation would be to email Craig @ Avalnache. Once you get comfortable that he can make the correct shock for your steed then you are on your way. He calculates the shim stacks and compression based on your bike, weight and finally riding style. He doesn't mess around with basic tuning, very specific. I talked to BC for a long time and then Craig for a long time after that before I pulled the trigger on the Woddie for my Jedi. I, actually, got in to Avy via the Jedi's rear suss "packing up" due to the high rising rate of the suspension. Craig has worked with the Jedi to perfect the suss. IT SHOWS! It is a phenomenal shock. IT acts like nothing I have used before (CCDB, FOX, Zocchi and Progressive). The shock, itself reacts to everything. It is decieving, you think that it's not working because you don't feel it but it is just moving to every pebble. The time to get your shock varies. It could be 2 weeks or 2 months due to different times of year and or circumstances and the more people that call Craig the less time he has to build the shock. He is a perfectionist and has trouble delegating the build. He is going to have to due to the shoulder surgery his is about to have later this month. Good speedy recovery to you Craig. ;) All in all, it is worth the effort and money tenfold to get this shock, he really understands suspension and what it is suposed to do. :thumb:

Really nice! I just sent my old 5th over last week to let him work on it but I haven't heard anything. The two month waiting time worries me a little...
