ouch...I left my keys at the top of a nearly 2000 foot shuttle yesterday. Luckily I snagged a ride from some realtor to the top, it could've been a looooong day on my DH bike.
oh...the irony on this one was that we were standing next to a pair of street bikers doing laps on the pavement where we were riding. But the one guy had a chic on back and I wasn't gonna put bone to back on him...just can't do that to a guy.
And the other dude had a Carharrt jacket on, primered shrouds...and a DEER TAIL hanging off the rear fender...I kid you not. Riding with him was NOT an option...
my facial expression plus the mid 90's road helmet, i dont even know what to say...

he put an Enduro through it's paces at Wayehutta a few weeks back too.

I will let you know. You could ride up with John if he comes. He is talking about going snow boarding instead, but I really don't think the weather will be good for it. I think he will end up riding.
yeah i've definately started doing alot more riding....as crazy/lame as it is, i picked up riding some cyclocross a couple weeks ago and have done a couple races, its actually sortof fun even though you have to wear :cough: lycra :cough:.

pics from the skatepark today. i've spent several hours over the last few days helping out with the remodel of the skatepark. a lot of new stuff and some older stuff has been rearranged. it's not complete yet but the right side stuff is rideable.

been there, done that and it sucks...l'animal is a trooper, no doubt!
how old was he when you got him riding?
it was shortly after his 4th b-day that he took the training wheels off for good. he had them off for a short spell when he was barely 3 but he thought, after watching all of my bike vids, that the point was to crash. so he'd ride for about 20' and then purposefully crash.

damn that harks back when i was learning trials when i was 4. i miss my roadmaster!
JeremyR happened to be in the greens-BURRO today and so we decided to hit up CP. it was suprisingly dry, almost cement-like with the exception of an occassional puddle in very low spots, but nothing detrimental to riding. CP is in much better condition than it was the last time i went this summer, nice and smooth and the super-lips that were added this summer have eroded down enough to make them just right.
anyway, on to some pics...

i think all of noah's skatpark riding has paid off at CP. this is his first time back since the summer but he was finally able to clear the big table. it wasn't consistent but still pretty friggin rad to watch

some guy i just met today named josh. the dude took one practice run and then just sent it off the drop, landing half-way down the tranny on his xc'd out prophet! sickness!

on the way to session the table, noah had a little trouble with one of the logs in the trail. he said he was alright so i asked if i could take a shot of his predicament and he obliged
alex was throwing down at the table as usual. in this pic, his fist broke the speed of light and came out at my camera

noah was on his game for sure, nearly clearing this monster table as well. he put his bike in it's hardest gear and pedaled the whole way down the run-in. scared the crap out of me but he says "it's easy"

To those of you taht ride Salem, theres been a whole lot of work done recently. Go check it out. The big right handed hip has been re-done and its killer. It now has actual pop. And the new left handed one after it (Manimal posted some pics of it a few pages ago) is just about dialed. We were clearing it, and a couple of us even tricked it.

yea, thats me..i missed my nirtous but im happy with my new bike, does merrit still do urban rides tues/thurs.......ill be heading back out to salem again sunday with soem more friends, i hit that gap/drop 4 more times today, think its time to go bigger

Super fast, 2.3 miles of rollers and berms all the way down and 4 big fun jumps at the bottom. It is well wreath the climb up.
