My local shop got one of these in and it just happens to be my size. I've toyed around with the idea of a cross bike, but actually having one in my size totry out has me fiending now:love:

Anyone else have any experience with this bike? Thoughts and opinions.

BTW I will NOT be racing xcross on it! Just road training rides and less tech singletrack and fireroads.

Is that the one with carbon fork? If so, a friend of mine just got one a month or so ago...and he LOVES it. Unfortunately I can't say anything more than that, but he did say that it's been ridden more often than his prophet. I guess you'd have to know him to put that into perspective, but still.

I've got the S-works version of it. I use mine for CX racing in the fall, this spring I used it on the dirt roads for training.

Size it for how you want to ride it. I race a 54 for CX, but would need a 56 for a road ride.

The sport and comp version sized as a road bike make great touring set-ups as well.

Dude, that is a HOT bike! I was checking out the S-Works frameset at a shop in TX a couple of weeks back, and I'm all about it.
I have the S-Works CX frame from a couple of years ago as my commuter, and it rules. Have some 32c Conti cross tires on it, and it's awesome for my commute to/from work. It's a blast on dirt roads, and stuff like that too. I've been considering taking it out into Fort Ord and seeing how a longer ride would feel.
I'd love to swap it out for a new TriCross though, if for no other reason than to just have something new...:)
You on a skinny-tired (knobby or not) 700c bike is one of the signs of the coming apocalypse, you know that right?
