Dumb question time:

Getting more and more into spinning to get the legs going for next years DH season. I have been using toe clips unfortunately on the crap spin bikes that they have at my current gym and yes, it sucks.

The new gym that I am joining has some really nice bikes with clipless pedals. I just bought a pair of specialized elite road shoes and the only cleats that I own are crankbrothers.

Do spin bikes accept any manufacturers spd cleats or is there sometimes a weird exception?

I haven't looked into it yet so just wondering.

Most spin bikes have normal crank arms, so you could switch pedals around...

Just bring your own pedals... and a pedal wrench. If the management is against it, find a new gym.
Funny you say that because I brought my own pedals and they said no. They have some crap pedals that are not spd compatible but rather the SPDR style.

all gyms here are SPD or SPD and Look compatible. More often than not, I sell low end mtn shoes to the ladies looking for spin stuff.
