over the weekend i participated in the sport electric TT. Its an all electric motorcycle time trial race at Laguna Seca. I pulled 2nd place in the prototype/race bike class. pretty stoked on that.

my bike has 48hp and tops out at 144mph.

When I worked in Ashland, I was only 3 miles from the Brammo home office. I took a tour and checked out the pre-production Empulse and got a bunch of pictures. Then they showed me the factory race bike in all it's glory (no pics allowed).

I want an Empulse.

What are the specs? (the old Toshi would like to know, too)

its running 2 Agni motors, a 120v 1200amp Kelly controller, motors are hooked up in parallel, 0 gauge wiring, and a 118v 2.5kwh 25C LiPo battery.

everything stayed nice and cool, no overheating (which means i should put a better battery in and pump more juice!)

The battery was good for about 4 laps at race pace (2.2mi per lap)

the motors are brushed DC


The power train was tuned by the inventor of the Agni motor, Cedric Lynch. he just happened to be in the building from England the day i had my bike on the dyno. Convenient. he was able to squeeze 5hp and 14mph out of it by syncing the motors better and it produced less heat, win win.
