hey guys, i just bought a Vivid for my 2009 M6. it came with a 300lb spring, i weight 135 pounds, should i get a lighter spring, and if so what weight would be the best. i'm not too clear on how the leverage ratio/spring weight math works out.

thanks

Measure your sag. If its <30% get a ligher spring. If it feels to hard - get a lighter spring. If it feels soft - get softer. It's not really that hard.

Tftuned calc is only for reference as it is not always 100% accurate.

absolutely, but it does provide a good estimate of where to start. obviously it doesn't take into account personal preference either.
I agree but considering he already has a spring he can take the bike for a spin and feel it out and measure sag. I'm pretty sure demo 9 would get his share of flame for a topic like that ;)

btw. Kyle - is that a new shock in an old frame? Unless you used something like the rc4 the springweight should be the same. A bit heavier maybe if you used revox.
