Large portion of bike swap done. The Nukeproof, with a coil, actually holds my weight and is quite nice. Talking with @Nick, we're going to do a second round parts pillage/swap before selling. It shouldn't impact net price on the Yeti too much, but will get the Nukeproof as nice as we can for negligible cost.

Rode bicycles, bumped into that @Nick fella. He seems okay, we should keep him around here, maybe even let him use the courtesy phone.

Good: Lost hiker asked for help in Colorado. Rescuers told her to ‘hunker down for the night’

Just because you carry a cell phone doesn't mean S&R should put themselves in harms way because you bit off more than you can chew...

I've always asked my loved ones to give me until 12:00 the next day, and I've made that cutoff every time thus far*, no jinx ;)

*TBH there was one time in 1987 when me and a buddy unintentionally overnighted near North Dome in Yosemite after losing the trail, where we may not have made the noon cutoff...
Ha, good to know one's Garmin might just display a "fuck off we're busy" message when you wander off unprepared. Wonder if she demands a refund ? Those things a spendy ya know.

Stumbled across a new brewery in the drive home. Beer tastes like crap now, yet I still stopped and purchased a six pack...because new beer.

I also made the mistake of blindly following GPS directions given by my phone to the trail head. They took me to a horse farm way south of where I needed to be. Oh well, no complaints. I mean I general they went the correct direction and I ended up taking some really cool new-to-me windy narrow dirt roads. But yeah next time I'll double check that the end point is correct.

Oh and now that the leaves are changing and whatnot, it's been much easier to spot hawks while driving. Always cool.

Packed up the Taga, installed a second EVSE on the garage wall, and made a nice bavette. Also watched 2001 for good measure.
