Whose got a good one they want to share, meat is on sale and im thinking about picking up 4 slabs to cook this week. I would like to try a different marinade on each.

Also is there such thing as marinading for too long?

Thanks in advance

Beer.

I had a "Drunken Ribeye" at a restaruant recently and it was very good. It was marinated in their amber ale.

If the marinade has a lot of acid in it (vinegar, citrus) it can actually "cook" the meat. So yes you can marinade it for too long.

Montreal steak spice and a dash of worcestershire. Mmmmm - makes me want t-bones again.

For chewier (leaner) cuts of beast I like to use wine as my 'base' and add in bit o this, bit o that.

my wife puts olive oil that we got in Italy on the steak, then coats it with sea or some really good salt and pepper. Puts it on the grill and BAM! Yummy.
