Hey guys!

I'm doing a thesis on designing a new stem so I NEED YOU! I've made a REALLY short survey (only 9 questions long.) just asking about anything you may have had gone wrong with a stem you have owned. Even if your stem has never failed there are no answers as well (Which do still help). If you's could, it would be great for you to fill it out as every bit of info will help. Once i have all your answers ill be sure to upload lots of pictures of the fabrication of it and who knows i might sell you one in a few months time!

Here's the link;

Also, if you want you can send me pictures of your broken stems with a description of how you did it. All info is very helpful!

Thanks!

I just sent one through, but as to stem design if you could make a locator for the faceplate that may be pretty nice as you could reduce the shear force the bolts recieve in a crash or on a hard landing.

If you make it like a Straitline and have the top of the cap flush with the stem you could have two raised circles around the bolt holes on the body and matchin recesses on the cap or vice versa. Raceface have a nice design on the Diabolous stem which would work well as a front loader.

I responded, but as most of my post threadless advent stems have worked, (In other words most of my problems back in the day were with wedge bolt stems,) I am not sure if my info is helpful.
