Hey everyone, I dont really use ridemonkey.com, but I figured this would be a good way to track down the asshole that stole my bike...

read on...

Bike was found missing on Monday February 26, 2007, but could have been taken before this date. Taken from a residence on 16th St. on the Hill in Boulder. Please read the parts list because there are some very distinct parts on this bike:

Frame: Silver Yeti Dirt Jumper, size: S
Fork: FOX RLC 125 (reduced to 80 mm)
Headset: Chris King (this headset is Gold, except the top dust cap is SILVER
Wheelset: Sun Rims BLUE singlewide, with ringlet BOLT ON hubs
Bar: Azonic Double Wall
Stem: KOOKA block (this is an old part and very distinctive to this bike)
Grips: ODI Lock-on with BLUE locks
Shifter: SRAM X-9
Deraileur: SRAM X-9
Cassette: SRAM X-9
Tires: Front is an old school Michelin and rear is a maxis semi-slick high roller
Seat: SDG Grand Prix (seat has a rip in the front that is covered by tape)
Crankset: RaceFace North Shore DH
Chainring: anodized BLUE 38t

If I saw someone riding someone's stolen bike I might be inclined to beat them as badly as the original victim would want to. Good luck, I don't hang out in Boulder ever, but if I see one of those in downtown Denver, you'll hear from me.

Yeah I don't hang out in Boudler either, but if I see it I'll definately get it back for ya. Nothing pisses me off more than people that steal. I'll keep an eye out for it downtown and the southern suburbs. Keep an eye out in the pawn shops and call your local police bicycle theft detective...most citys and counties have a cop that is dedicated to just bike theft and bicycle safety.

I'll be looking at it through the shop I work at, as the rest of the time, I'm in class, home, or on my bike (where I will still be looking for it), but how would that look for a shop employee to be beating the living s&!t out of some random (to a bystander) guy who just wants to get his bike worked on? :poster_oops:

I bet both the innocent bystander and the guy who stole a bike and brought it in to get it worked on wouldn't commit immoral acts for a while. :pirate2:

I'm willing to bet that whoever stole your rig is not from Boulder, but living in the Denver Metro area.

Bike theifs like these typically make runs to Boulder, to steal bikes from the campus and surrounding areas; because they know good bikes are laying around everywhere.

Keep your eye on Ebay and CraigsList; and when I am out and about I'll keep my eye out for a Yeti DJ, that isnt a bike you see everyday.

I'll keep an eye out in Longmont, shouldn't be hard since I've only seen one other dj bike. at least if karma causes them to get hit by a bus, that bike should be ok.
