I didn't have much sleep either. Less productive. Had a good time this morning with the boys and woke the up with some pastries as oldest turns 17 today.

Man I need some more sleep, read 'pastries' as "parasites".

Didn't go to work sent a text yesterday saying they wouldn't need me for the job today as I thought they only had half the parts.
So other people got sent on that job and it turned out they only had a third of the parts, that was well dodged by me.

Bought a hedge trimmer and some fudge, take that however you like.

Turned in way early yesterday, happened to find a set of ear plugs inside of a travel kit. Slept 9 hrs. Woke at 4:30 from being tired of sleep. So much energy - don't know if today's farts can get kept on a leash. Odd first thought of the day, farts on a leash.

I bought some a few days ago to cut down the Cicada noise when riding.
Got some Silicone sleeping type ones, they are great compared to the foam ones I'm used to.

Broke a branch of my Smith Wildcat yesterday. Of course Smith doesn't sell spare parts. Reddit seems to think that branches from a pair of Milwaukee protective glasses will fit.

At work. It was a hectic morning because everybody needed to get ready with everything before the Christmas party. Now it is nice and quiet as half of the employees are there and I actually can get stuff done. I am not joining because people are just getting totally wasted and play silly games. FTS! :disgust1:

that's surprising to me. I've bought replacement parts for a pair of Smith Slider 01 which were over 20 years old at the time, and Smith had what I needed. I needed a spare part for a Smith ski helmet which they didn't have, and they offered to just replace the whole thing for free instead.

Good morning

Hi

It’s cold. Need to haul corn, but if my semi gelled up I think that would send me into orbit. So I might wait until next week when it’s 40 again.

Trying a new brand of epoxy (please note I fucking hate it and don’t make fucking stupid ass bull shit River tables, I used it to fill small holes/cracks). Fucking shit is as runny as water. Proceeded to make a huge mess all over my shop this morning. Fucking hell

I ran five miles of drag ass this morning, which is how a lot of my runs have felt lately. Like any sport when you go through a slump, that is where I am right now. Just gotta work through it.

I've got our division holiday luncheon for work today. Three miles from home at a country club during work hours. I am cool with that.

Man, rough night so far, Zero sleeps.

@SkaredShtles , good luck!!!
Thanks, man. Got a call from the spine guy's scheduling person at 5:30 yesterday evening telling me they needed to reschedule my cutting to 1pm because apparently UHC is dragging their feet.

There's a shocker, eh?

When my wife is cranky, I will sometimes opt to sleep in the front room. My god, I sleep like a champ. 8 solid hours with an HRV over 60. fuck. Yesterday it was 91. How is that possible?

Going to struggle through work today, then it's time to poison my body

having a great bitch session with a co-worker and my current boss. complaining productively as team feels good. let's hope it leads to positive outcomes.

had a good stationary bike ride earlier. annoyed the wife and my dad as I made breakfast. lots of ideas bubbling around inside my head.

and a Korg MS2000BR showed up from a friend yesterday. so I'm learning how that toy works with a goal of making some terrible "music" before Jan 1st.

It appears, unbeknownst to me, my Elf is a slacker/mucker/hessian. Had one job yesterday and, so much delivered a delayed package of nope, not today.

Need to see what today brings.

Ok, hear me out……

Been brainstorming up a street legal sandcar build, think I have it down

Mid 50’s vintage, no later than 57 to keep the oval rear glass and bone flat windshield (like the look)

1734104440598.png

complete tube chassis from scratch to accept stock cab

Super charged LSX build up to reliable 700hp running either holley or fuel tech ECU/TFT Dash combo

Billet 4D transaxle with sequential shifting

26” of rear travel using 6x6 trailing arms and RCV CV joints and 2” hollow trophy truck hubs and spindles

1734104718581.png

24” of front travel using center mount double A arm buggy suspension similar to class 10/11 car

1734104518026.png

King remote resi coilovers and a triple bypass on every corner

digitally controlled steering brake proportioner

Electric steering rack

It would probably very closely resemble Blakes original shark build but will be a fully enclosed and finished cab with heat and air and glass all the way around because oregon coast weather daily driver stuff

I am thinking 80k to turn key, motor/trans is 40k alone
