Ok, hear me out……

Been brainstorming up a street legal sandcar build, think I have it down

Mid 50’s vintage, no later than 57 to keep the oval rear glass and bone flat windshield (like the look)

View attachment 223210

complete tube chassis from scratch to accept stock cab

Super charged LSX build up to reliable 700hp running either holley or fuel tech ECU/TFT Dash combo

Billet 4D transaxle with sequential shifting

26” of rear travel using 6x6 trailing arms and RCV CV joints and 2” hollow trophy truck hubs and spindles

View attachment 223212

24” of front travel using center mount double A arm buggy suspension similar to class 10/11 car

View attachment 223211

King remote resi coilovers and a triple bypass on every corner

digitally controlled steering brake proportioner

Electric steering rack

It would probably very closely resemble Blakes original shark build but will be a fully enclosed and finished cab with heat and air and glass all the way around because oregon coast weather daily driver stuff

I am thinking 80k to turn key, motor/trans is 40k alone
save a oval window

cut up a fat chick instead

think of the children

Boy, I just had a fun pet adventure. Wife dropped both dogs off at daycare this morning and a poop sample for the puppy. We got a call at 10:00 that the stool was positive for giardia, so I had to drop what I was doing for work to get the puppy and the meds ($105). On the way home, the dog exploded puke all over the back seat. Holy fuckin shit the mess. :dead: Puke on the backseat, on the back of the front seat, on the door, in the stereo speaker, in the cup and trash holder in the door, on and under the floor mat. It took me a half hour to clean that up and it still smells horrible. Looks like my car will be going in for detailing soon.

sounds like having kids

except more explosive yet

(count for this week is 3 episodes of puking, 1 of a poop-plosion. granted a usual week has 0 of either but still)

God damn Uber did it again. Reserved ride to Christmas party later, for $72.

Old card was in there, so it didn't go through and forced me to go back. I select the ride again and switch payment, of course it instantly raises the price $15.

It did this last year when I looked at ride cost, closed the app and looked again and it was double.

Good thing I'm not paying this

ah, that sucks. insurance sucks. it sucks all around.
The woman dealing with the approval process is sending an email to the ins co stating that if I have any permanent nerve damage because of this, that they will be liable.

And I have legal benefits through my job, so perhaps I'll have an opportunity to go Full-Chad on United "Healthcare."

What is another 6 days of pain and suffering? Think of the shareholder value.

Not worth killing a health insurance exec, but perhaps smashing a spine with a ball peen hammer.

This thread drift is dedicated to SS's L4/5 ;)

My buddy wanted me to run some of this rum back to the states, as it never leaves Grenada.

So I took a couple of buses to River Antoine Distillery -- they've been making rum the same way since 1785.

First fermentation is all cane, EVERYTHING done by hand except for the crushing which is powered by similarly antique waterwheel

You're not allowed to fly back with their signature over-proof at 75%, so he'll have to make do with the "lightweight" 69%

Pulling shots of the 150 at 11:00 AM in the tasting room was a bit of a struggle, but nevertheless I persisted. ;)

Took a different bus route home, with a wee bit of hitchhiking, in time for a not quite dusk snorkel on the north side of "my" beach.

It had rained so it was a bit sandy [that's the theme of this trip, though I knew that coming] but still saw a bunch of decent sized fish and huge fan coral, and rock boulders/walls at 10-30' like the south side -- without the sculpture garden traffic..

#winning

I turned around in time to catch a double-rainbow then out of the sandy depth emerged the biggest eel I've ever seen -- legit 5' and a THICK BOI.

Thankfully the eel was as freaked out as I was, and hunkered down in a crevice, and I gave it a "wide berth" while trying not to poop myself.

#Rinse repeat tomorrow -> xmas eve with hopefully better visibility

When I went to Antigua the resort we stayed at had a rum bar. I was floored by how good some of it was.

Didn't flip it, but it was close. Trying to slow for the corner and the hill brake locked the wheels, the ass end slid around and I went straight down the hill backwards. It was damn funny, but I was a little worried when the ass end went around.

Havent had the need as of yet since I already have DJI and insta360 action cams, I may get a 13 if they produce a 1.33x anamorphic adapter for it.
I've got a h8, and might be taking a dive trip to the South Pacific with my dad next year, he's getting along in years so I'm not gonna miss the opportunity. The h8 works, but still images underwater can be hit or miss. New sensor/software sounds like it's a notable improvement.

A length of 2" OD PVC pipe or any high density plastic, nylon, lexan, etc. would work better in this case as a cross body blow would have more chance of making contact with the spine. Also ball peen hammer heads could get stuck between ribs limiting the number of blows. However if you are dead set on using a hammer then look towards something with a flatter face. And as always the one you can swing the fastest is the right weight. You don't need a big one just be quick.

You have to look at the bigger picture. Imagine all the headlines with "peen" in it.

Unless you have some kind of butt plug spear.

I've always wanted to hit someone with a crash ax. But as I daily driver, I would totally be an old fashioned warhammer kind of guy.
