These exercises destroy the legs and you gain muscle very quickly. Leg extensions and curls are also good exercises when used in conjunctions. Here is my typical routine
1 - one of the above 5 sets 5 reps
2 - superset leg curl /leg ext meaning you get on the leg ext do 12 and hop immediately onto leg curl and do 12. Rest and repeat 3 times. If you do each set to exhaustion or failure you will be mutilating your legs. This will hurt but it sure is fun.
3 - if you still have energy do stiff legged deadlifts (get someone experienced to show you form) this will be a relief for your legs as it stretches the hamstrings nicely..
This is a nice short routine that only taks around 40min. You will feel pain but in 6 weeks you legs will grow and get strong.
